I am always open to hearing from prospective students, post-docs and scientists who thrive in both collaborative and independent research settings, and am particularly supportive of those interested in interdisciplinary research and committed to diverse and inclusive communities.

If you are interested in joining my research group, please first read below to see how best to pursue different opportunities.

Prospective Masters students

The Bren School offers a course-based professional Masters degree. As such, Masters students are not affiliated with a research lab or professor. If you are interested in applying to the Bren School for a Masters degree, please visit here.

Prospective PhD graduate students

I am not currently recruiting any new graduate students and do not have funding to support new students, but I am always open to hearing from motivated prospective students. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD with me in the future, please send me: 1) your CV (or resume), 2) a detailed description of your research interests and why you’d like to work with me, and 3) a short statement about your experience with and commitment to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment.

Full-time Employment

I have an active and dynamic research team that includes post-docs, analysts, and research assistants. If you are interested in working with my group, watch the NCEAS and UCSB HR websites for job postings or email me directly.
